Sim Local is a travel tech start-up that was right at the beginning of its digital journey when we first engaged with them. Their challenge was to bring eSIM to front of mind as part of the travel-prep process by educating, informing and inspiring potential travellers.
Tigerbond's digital team were brought along on the trip to enhance Sim Local's digital brand and bring it to life at both country-specific and global level through engaging content. Here's how we did it.
Our Response
Our team got straight to work on strengthening the brand’s existing content foundations. We started by developing a tone of voice that clearly represented the brand’s value proposition and would engage target travellers, and from there drew up a plan to bring this to life across Sim Local’s digital estate.
The next step was to define a waterfall content strategy that started on the web homepage and cascaded into each country, specific landing page and every blog post. This strategy delivered a series of content that simultaneously highlighted Sim Local’s value offering and inspired website visitors.
We extended this approach into Sim Local’s campaign strategies for social media, PPC and SEO. By bridging keyword research and our crystal-clear content approach, we delivered high-value rankings and ad placements, with engaging copy and meta data that nurtured clicks from target visitors.
Impact
Within the first six weeks of Sim Local working with our team, we delivered imagery, graphics and copy for over 200 country-specific eSIM pages. With search gains baked into our approach, it took less than two months to see positions for commercial-intent target keywords soar from zero rankings to page 1.
The cross-channel effort across content, SEO and PPC delivered a four-fold increase in traffic in Q1 and Q2 versus the previous year, with conversion rates and website revenue continuing to deliver exponential growth.
