SIGNIFICANTLTY ELEVATED SHARE OF VOICE IN PR SPACE

The Challenge

Marie Curie is the UK’s leading end of life charity so when presented with the opportunity for our co-founder Joanne Spence to join the committee for both the Glasgow Brain Game and Edinburgh Brain Game – two of the charity’s most vital fundraising events of the year in Scotland - it was a real ‘no brainer’ for us to sign up.

Tigerbond is committed to being a force for good in our communities and answered the call to support Marie Curie, which was looking to boost its already hugely successful events within the business communities of Scotland.

The charity wanted to gain some traction in the PR space and raise the profile of the Glasgow and Edinburgh Hospices and the work it does there and throughout the community – all in a bid to continue to grow the amount raised throughout the glittering evenings.

Tigerbond is incredibly proud to give a voice to this incredible organisation and create opportunities for it with its target audiences.

Our Response

With a relentless focus on living and breathing our tiger values and striving for a more sustainable future, we embraced Marie Curie as an in-kind partner and mobilised every tool available to help the charity grow its fundraising events and help get the Edinburgh Brain Game further established.

From media promotion, curating  different types of video content, to brand partnership support, marketing guidance as well as social advice – we considered all channels and routes to help the charity ensure that everyone in our communities can have a good end of life experience.

Impact

Since partnering with the charity, it has achieved record amounts raised at its events - more tables have been secured and the profile of the events and the work of the charity, significantly elevated.

The latest Glasgow Brain Game event secured a record £211,000 raised, tipping the scales to take the overall total for the Glasgow event to £1.7million since it first began 17 years ago.

As a true passion project, our team of tigers have all been touched by the amazing work carried out by Marie Curie across the community and can be found volunteering throughout the year from Glasgow fundraisers to collections as shopping malls.

“We truly have THEE BEST business partnership with Tigerbond! FACT

“We persuaded Joanne Spence and the team at Tigerbond to come on board to help us with PR for the Marie Curie UK Glasgow Brain Game, early in 2023.

“Everyone at Tigerbond has embraced the Brain Game and they have made a huge difference to our reach in the PR space, it's been a gamechanger for us.

“What started as a single project has now developed into the most beautiful relationship. The team at Tigerbond have added Edinburgh Brain Game to their support package for us. They have gone above and beyond in every aspect. They have volunteered at our collections, they have served Christmas dinner to our staff in the Glasgow Hospice, they have taken tables at our Brain Game events, they have brought street art to our hospice in-patient-unit.

“They have fully immersed themselves in our work and I am incredibly thankful to every single member of the Tigerbond team for showing us your support, dedicated expertise and friendship.”
