The Challenge

As an accredited MSC installer in Scotland with 10+ years’ experience, Green Home Systems provide homes across the country with green energy solutions to reduce homeowner energy bills and carbon footprint. They install solar panels, insulation measures, air source heat pumps, and more.  

With the UK Government’s commitment to Net-zero, funding was released across the country to incentivise green home transformations. This a flood of fresh new suppliers looking to leverage the trend commercially, creating a highly saturated and competitive online market.  

Green Home Systems sought SEO advice from team Tigerbond to help drive traffic and rankings and get in front of their target market with unique content to make them stand out from the crowd.  

Our Response

We reviewed Green Home’s USPs and customer data to understand their target audience. This intel allowed us to speak the audience’s language, understand their pain points, and what they were trying to achieve.  

We arrived at a funnel-marketing approach in SEO strategy. In other words, we found out what people were asking about their services and created content that answered the questions potential customers had at the beginning, middle and end of their journey.  

With potential savings being the number one reason for customer enquiries, we designed a 60-second questionnaire that would inform whether or not they were eligible for specific funding.   

We conducted keyword research to prioritise services and understand what conversations were taking place to help us identify if PPC would be a more effective channel to quickly get in front of those in-market

Impact

We significantly increased the Green Home website’s overall position and search visibility for target keywords

We worked closely with our digital PR team to identify any cross-channel wins, with articles published in national and local press  

By producing content that was helpful to users and keeping them up to date on the funding landscape, we landed online digital coverage from council sites with domain ratings between 60-90.  

This increased Green Home System’s Domain Rating and referring URLs with November 2024 seeing their highest count to date.
