The Challenge
Berlinkys, a new entertainment venue in Glasgow, approached us with a challenge: the venue would be opening in just four weeks and they needed a social, press and influencer campaign to raise awareness.
Berlinkys wanted a rush of noise in-and-around Glasgow, and to ensure that their offering really stood out among competitors.
Our Response
It started with understanding the unique vision for the venue and what Berlinkys wanted customers to think, feel and do.
From here, we crafted a social media campaign that would capture the venue’s unique vibe while making it seem like everyone was talking about Berlinkys. Alongside capturing on-street content engaging with the public in fun and memorable ways, we shared behind-the-scenes content that showed the process of finishing the venue in a humorous way.
When it came to engaging press, we went out with two key releases: a launch announcement, followed by a "first look" inside the venue. We also liaised with broadcast and trade media to ensure Berlinkys was being spoken about across all fronts. Lastly, a 'media drop' was used to engage key titles and journalists - helping to get the journalists excited about the launch.
The campaign all culminated with an exclusive press and influencer event, the night before opening night. We invited a broad range of our press, celebrity and influencer contacts based in and around Glasgow. We kept them engaged in the days leading up to the event – briefing them on unique content opportunities to ensure as much content would be shared as possible.
Impact
Our objective to generate noise around the Berlinkys launch was well and truly accomplished. There was a real buzz about the venue on social in the build-up to launch, blanket Glasgow press coverage was received, and influencers and press had a memorable (and highly-sharable) time at the VIP launch night.
