The Challenge
Apex Hotels operates ten luxury hotels in some of the UK’s most popular city destinations. They needed a dynamic website that reflected their industry-leading offering.
The platform had to drive direct bookings, raise awareness about securing the best rates directly on their site, and reduce reliance on Online Travel Agents (OTAs), while enhancing the overall guest experience online.
Our Response
In the Discovery phase, we conducted extensive user testing to prioritise intuitive navigation and frictionless guest journeys between the CMS and hotel booking engine platform.
We leveraged Umbraco’s personalisation tools to create tailored digital experiences based on our guest personas, ensured the site highlighted Apex’s luxury offerings and allowed for a seamless transition to the booking engine and checkout.
We built further custom user experiences for the hotels' additional onsite services like spa facilities and dining.
Impact
The new platform reduced website choke points and drop-offs, significantly improving user engagement and click-through rates to the booking engine.
Apex now deliver a seamless and visually engaging digital guest journey, enhancing their brand presence and delivering a satisfying guest experience that starts well ahead of check-in.
