The Challenge
ACCORD Hospice in Paisley, Renfrewshire, provides end of life and palliative care to people in Renfrewshire and beyond. Our CEO Laurna Woods has provided PR and marketing counsel to the charity’s board for six years and the Tigerbond team have been supporting with PR and video needs ever since.
Caring for more than 1,800 patients every day in the Hospice and at home runs at high cost with hospices like ACCORD relying on the generosity of the local community and businesses. The Hospice asked for our support to raise the profile of its packed events calendar and fundraising opportunities, allowing them to generate the funds required to continue to provide invaluable support and the best possible experience for the families of Renfrewshire who need it most.
Our Response
The ACCORD team are fundraising experts delivering high impact events that generate important revenue. They were keen to work with the Tigerbond team to help them reach new audiences and to assist in promoting their events, challenges and fundraising activities further afield to make them even more successful.
Our team have assisted with media relations, content creation, social media advice as well as advising on matters of policy, securing high profile media coverage for ACCORD regarding the government funding gap.
Impact
Since partnering with the charity, they have achieved record fundraising levels from their events programme including their hugely successful Ladies Lunch. With more challenges lined up for the year ahead, it looks set to be its biggest fundraising year yet.
As a true passion project, our team of tigers have all been touched by the amazing work carried out by ACCORD across the community and can be found volunteering throughout the year, from Hospice fundraisers to collections at train stations and shopping centres.
