We worked to design the shop in line with the look and feel of the main Scottish FA website to maintain brand consistency for referees navigating through the website. As the main site was built on Umbraco, we selected Umbraco’s native ecommerce software Merchello to provide the ecommerce functionality for the site. Being an ecommerce site, the site structure, navigation and checkout process was thoroughly researched and considered by our UX/UI team to ensure the path to conversion was clear and easy to navigate to maximise commercial income.
The shop offers a strong user journey and clear path to conversion for referees to buy kit thanks to the optimised structure and check out process design. The shop is also fully integrated with the Scottish FA external payment gateway, WorldPay. Management of the site, stock control and order management has now been streamlined into a centralised space to improve efficiencies for Scottish FA shop staff.
