The UK has been hooked on the BBC's The Traitors, and with this year’s Faithfuls triumphing in Friday’s dramatic finale, businesses across the Highlands of Scotland have been winners too, with Trainline reporting that visits to the Highlands surged by 69% since the show began.

With so much to discover in the Scottish Highlands, from the stunning landscapes of Ballachulish to the moody, dramatic scenery of Glencoe – it’s easy to see why the region has become the perfect backdrop to the cloak and dagger action of The Traitors.

Nestled within these incredible locations are the Ballachulish Hotel, the Isles of Glencoe and the Kingshouse Hotel – all part of Crieff Hydro Family of Hotels - offering the perfect spot to soak up the atmosphere and explore the wonders of the Scottish Highlands.

Stephen Leckie, CEO of Crieff Hydro Family of Hotels, said: “We’ve always known that the Highlands are truly special, so it’s great to see so many people being inspired to visit and experience the region for themselves after watching The Traitors.

“Our hotels are perfectly placed for guests to immerse themselves in the dramatic landscapes and rich history of the area – whether it’s exploring Glencoe, taking in the lochside views at Ballachulish, or simply enjoying the warmth of our Highland hospitality.”

The Ballachulish Hotel & the Isles of Glencoe Hotel

Located on the banks of Loch Linnhe and Loch Leven respectively, there is plenty to see and do. While Ardross Castle, home of The Traitors, may be a few hours away, the imposing Castle Stalker is located on Loch Linnhe and is well worth a visit. The Ballachulish Hotel, built just a few years after Ardross Castle, dates from the same period and features the same striking baronial style. It’s a fantastic place to stay and immerse yourself in the region’s rich architectural heritage.

If you're looking to get your steps in, why not tackle part of the West Highland Way or organise a trip up Ben Nevis to bag a Munro? If you’re not feeling so energetic, take the easy way up with the nearby Nevis Range Mountain Gondola.

With a visit to the Ballachulish Hotel or the Isles of Glencoe, you can tick off another bucket list item and see the iconic Glenfinnan Viaduct— star of the opening credits of The Traitors and perfect for that Instagram-worthy shot.

After a day of exploring and adventuring, enjoy a meal at one of the two restaurants offered across both hotels. At the Isles of Glencoe, you can savour dishes inspired by the local land and sea at Water's Edge, which offers uninterrupted views of Loch Leven. At Ballachulish Hotel, you’ll find Fish, a restaurant dedicated to seafood. Just a stone's throw from Loch Linnhe, enjoy lobster, mussels, and the catch of the day - all locally sourced.

Kingshouse Hotel

The Kingshouse Hotel is located in one of the most stunning parts of Scotland, Glencoe, just a 40-minute trip from Fort William and an hour away from Oban  - renowned as the seafood capital of Scotland. Like its sister hotels, you can take a walk along the West Highland Way, or if you are a Bond fan, why not take a drive and retrace 007's footsteps to the iconic Loch Etive, where Skyfall was filmed.

After all that exploring, you'll have built up an appetite, so why not try the Kingshouse Restaurant where you can enjoy locally sourced ingredients, some from the Kingshouse estate itself. Savour fresh seafood, wild game, and all of the traditional favourites. If you're looking for something more casual, try the Kingshouse Climbers Bar, where you can enjoy coffee and scones, a hearty lunch to power your exploration, or savour a wee dram as a nightcap while taking in the atmospheric views of Glencoe after dinner.
