Lockdown meant we were unable to demonstrate the La Redoute interiors offer in a real-life setting. We developed a creative and strategic solution, inviting respected interiors stylist and writer, Kate Watson-Smyth, to style and film three imaginative room sets in a London studio.
Still life and video content captured Kate in each room, explaining her ideas and introducing the new collection, So’Home.
Kate’s dining room celebrated bringing guests back into the home again. In the sitting room, a beautiful orange velvet sofa was used as the hero piece, creating a family-friendly room that could also double as a workspace during the day. A joyful bedroom mixed textures, colours and patterns to create a vintage-inspired space to relax and unwind.
The content was used across shared social channels and revealed online at an exclusive digital press event.
Kate featured the content on her successful and popular blog, and an edited version of her style guide appeared on the La Redoute online hub.
We hosted a digital event to reveal Kate’s content to an invited guest list of interiors editors. Each was sent a delicious afternoon tea, seasonal blooms, and was invited to select a gift from the collection.
Following the event, the content was seeded to other editors and stylists, to encourage content creation, product call-ins and image requests. Images were then used to create further social posts, offering interiors inspiration on the La Redoute Instagram page.
