tigerbond has pledged its ongoing support to the British Citizen and British Citizen Youth Awards which celebrate ordinary people doing extraordinary things to support people, causes and communities across the UK.
The programme, commonly dubbed the ‘people’s honours’, presented its latest round of awards to young Brits at the Palace of Westminster last week.
The British Citizen Youth Award (BCyA), in association with tigerbond client, Specsavers, is designed to recognise the individual endeavours of young people who are positively impacting their communities, helping charities or undertaking exceptional activities in support of others.
tigerbond CEO, Laurna Woods, said: ‘Across the nation many of our young people are going above and beyond for others with selfless acts of kindness and community spirit with no thought or expectation of praise or reward. We live in a world where negativity often prevails, so we are proud to be able to play our part in shining a light of positivity on the young people of our country who are making a big difference to society and helping make our communities a better place to live.
‘Our client Specsavers and co-founder, Dame Mary Perkins, patron of both the BCA and BCyA, have supported this wonderful programme for many years so we’re excited to lend our ongoing support in spreading the news about the country’s true unsung heroes far and wide.’
