Superstar Scottish professional golfer, Gabrielle Macdonald, has signed a sponsorship deal with one of Scotland’s leading hotel groups.
Crieff Hydro Family of Hotels is supporting the Scots golfer as she embarks on a busy schedule of tournaments across the globe this year. Gabrielle’s next competition is set to take place in Saudi Arabia between 17 and 20 March at the Aramco Saudi Ladies International.
Gabrielle said: “The support from Crieff Hydro Family of Hotels will help to cover my costs of playing on the Ladies European Tour (LET) this year.
“Having the support of a much-loved Scottish hotel brand means a lot and I wouldn’t be able to be a professional golfer without the backing of sponsors.”
Gabrielle is set to host a series of golf clinics at Peebles Hydro and Crieff Hydro this summer, giving guests the opportunity to hone their skills with advice from a pro.
Nic Oldham, Head of Customer and Commercial at Crieff Hydro Family of Hotels, said: “Since turning professional in 2019, Gabrielle‘s career has skyrocketed and we are thrilled to be part of her journey as she flies the flag for Scotland at an elite level.
“We are passionate about golf ourselves, and our extensive golf offering at Crieff Hydro made it a natural choice to get behind one of Scotland’s top female players.
“Our golf clinics with Gabrielle will be a fantastic opportunity for golf enthusiasts to gain her expertise.”
Crieff Hydro offers a range of golfing activities from its very own nine-hole, par three golf course and driving range to crazy golf, foot golf and even disc golf.
The hotel also has its own golf-themed private hire games zone called The Bunker which includes a state-of-the-art VR golf simulator.
Gabrielle had a stellar amateur career representing Scotland in numerous events across the globe before turning pro in 2019. Gabrielle won twice in 2021 on the Ladies European Tour Access Series (LETAS) and finished 2nd on the LETAS order of merit in 2021 securing her promotion to the LET for 2022.
