Peebles Golf Club has agreed sponsorship deals for two summer competitions set to take place in the coming weeks.
Peebles Hydro Hotel is supporting the club’s Centenary Trophy which will take place on Saturday 17th July as well as the Mixed Four-Ball Open on Sunday 22nd August.
Ross Duncan, Peebles Golf Club Marketing Convenor, said: “We have a long relationship with Peebles Hydro Hotel and are delighted it is lending its support to these two popular competitions.
“The Centenary Trophy was presented to the Club by Peebles Hydro Hotel in 1992 in honour of our landmark anniversary. The trophy also represents the strong links that exist between the Club and the hotel since our inception.
“The competition is played on the Saturday of The Open Championship each year and is always very well attended with the winning trophy very much like the Claret Jug. We are expecting at least 150 competitors to take part this year and it is always one our members want to win.”
Patrick Diack, General Manager of Peebles Hydro Hotel, said: “Peebles Hydro Hotel has a long association with the club and its Centenary Trophy and we are pleased to sponsor the popular competition once again this year.
“Our hotel has been part of the local community for a very long time and it is important to us to support fellow businesses in the area such as our friends at Peebles Golf Course.”
